Prof. PhD Do Thi Thanh Thuy - Head of Department of Cultural Studies, Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS), and more than 50 delegates, researchers, experts from governmental agencies of Quang Nam province and Hoi An city.

The seminar has been given a great concerns of many professional researchers and governmental agencies with more than 20 presentation and many opinions exchanged to clarify the role of traditional crafts and folk arts in sustainable development of Hoi An city. In addition, the seminar also contributed to the recognition and assessment of the current status of preservation and promotion traditional crafts and folk performance and proposed orientation for the upcoming time to meet the criteria of a creative city in UNESCO network as well as raise public awareness concerning the significance of local intangible cultural heritage.
