The event was attended by leaders of Hội An Đông Ward, members of the Executive Committee of the ward’s Women’s Union, historical witnesses, and a large number of female officials and members of the ward.
During the activity, female members were guided by staff of the Hội An Center for the Conservation of World Cultural Heritage on a tour and introduction to the historical value of the Hội An Prison relic, as well as the resilient revolutionary struggle traditions of Hội An women throughout different historical periods.

Notably, historical witnesses directly participated in exchanges and shared their memories, difficulties, and challenges during their participation in the revolutionary movement of the armed forces and people of Hội An during the two prolonged resistance wars of the nation. These contributions helped shape the overall success of the revolutionary movement in Hội An. Besides, they also discussed and proposed solutions to enhance the role of women in the ward in the new era.
The organization of this activity not only revisited the glorious traditions of Hội An women throughout history, particularly their role in the struggle for national liberation, but also created opportunities for interaction, meetings, and expressions of gratitude toward female historical witnesses. It served to educate members about revolutionary traditions, thereby fostering pride, responsibility, and the continued promotion of women’s roles in Hội An in the present period.
