The temple had been destroyed by the war and later was rebuilt to server religious purposes of local communities.
After decades, the temple are now degraded and needs to be restored for the maintenance of featured values. As a result, in April 2, 2025, the People’s Committee of Hoi An city approved the Cửa Suối Temple restoration project by the annual fund for cultural heritage sector. Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation is the agency assigned to implement this project.
The city government has always paid attention to the restoration work over the years which help ensure the integrity of the relics in particular, and the values of Hoi An cultural heritage in general. In addition, it also serves the religious life of local residents, and learning needs in history and culture of tourists.
