In celebration of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of Đà Nẵng (March 29, 1975 – March 29, 2026) and the complete liberation of Southern Vietnam and national reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026), the Hội An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation will organize a launch event for the book “Hội An – Exemplary Sons of Loyalty and Filial Piety.”

Published at the end of 2025, the book recounts stories of resilience and courage among civilians and soldiers who were captured and imprisoned during the resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism in Hội An.
The book introduction event will take place at the historic revolutionary site of Hội An Prison, No. 240/12 Lý Thường Kiệt Street, Hội An Ward, Đà Nẵng City. It serves as a tribute to revolutionary soldiers who sacrificed their lives in enemy prisons, and as an expression of gratitude to the people of Hội An who made significant contributions to national liberation and the building of peace and independence.
Special guests, including former political prisoners from Hội An, relatives of individuals featured in the book, and contributing authors, will share meaningful and proud stories about a difficult yet heroic period in the nation’s history.
This event also aims to promote the book to the public, especially to administrators, researchers, libraries, and schools in Hội An, encouraging further exchange of information and historical materials to enrich future editions and deepen younger generations’ understanding of patriotic traditions and revolutionary history.
