Regulations of Protection of Hoi An Ancient Town: An important tool for heritage protection
To meet the requirements of preservation and promotion of the World Cultural Heritage - Hoi An Ancient Town in the new period, on December 18th, 2020, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No.
19 promulgating the “Regulation of Protection of World Cultural Heritages - Hoi An Ancient Town”, come into effect from January 1st, 2021. This is an effective tool for protecting Hoi An heritage.
The content of this Regulation is the integration of the content of the previous regulations issued by People's Committee of Hoi An City. In addition to the general regulations and regulations of implementation, the main content of this Regulation specifies the scope, subjects and principles of protection; renovation and construction; protection of intangible cultural heritage; tourism services; business, display and advertisement; safety and order and risk management; procedures for implementing; responsibility for coordination of state agencies, organizations and individuals participating in protecting Hoi An Ancient Town.
