Bringing students to Hoi An heritage

After two years of testing, from the 2021 – 2022 school year, Hoi An city will permit the set of documents of School Heritage Education in Hoi An into the primary school curriculum.
 
        The set of documents of School Heritage Education for primary schools in Hoi An - Quang Nam province is composed by the Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation coordinating with the Department of Education and Training of Hoi An City to testing in a number of schools in the city over the last two years.
 
        From the 2017-2018 school year, this set of documents was piloted in five grades of Phu Dong Primary School with 10 topics: “Japanese Covered Bridge in Hoi An”, “Communal House in Hoi An” (Grade 1); “Ancient well in Hoi An”, “Assembly Hall in Hoi An” (Grade 2); “Pagoda in Hoi An”, “Unicorn dance in Hoi An” (Grade 3); “Ong Temple in Hoi An”, “Family Chaple in Hoi An” (Grade 4); “Ancient house in Hoi An”, “Traditional craft village in Hoi An” (Grade 5). Each topic consists of three lessons, including a lesson of practical study at monuments and museums.
