The Consul General of Japan in Da Nang visited and surveyed in Hoi An Ancient Town

Over the past years, with the support from many specialized agencies, Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation has coordinated with Japanese organizations to successfully restore and preserve many architectural monuments in Hoi An Ancient Town.

     On the afternoon of October 1, 2024, the Consul General of Japan in Da Nang - Mr. MORI Takero visited and surveyed the valuable relics in Hoi An Ancient Town that have been restored by the conjuction of Hoi An city and Japanese government or organizations. Mr. Pham Phu Ngoc - Director of Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Conservation welcomed and directly guided the Consul General to visit some monuments such as the Museum of Trade Ceramics (No. 80 Tran Phu street), the Japan Cultural Exhibition House (No. 6 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street), and Ancient Houses at No. 77 Tran Phu street, No. 113 and 115 Nguyen Thai Hoc street, etc.

     After the survey, Mr. MORI Takero highly appreciated the efforts of Hoi An government in general and the Center in particular in preserving and promoting the historic relics, as well as values of Japanese cultural exchange in Hoi An.
