Approving the investment for the Project “Digitization and Establishment of digital database system on Hoi An cultural heritage”
On November 14, 2024, the People's Committee of Hoi An city issued a Decision on approving the investment for the Project “Digitization and Establishment of digital database system on Hoi An cultural heritage”.
According to the decision, the People's Committee of Hoi An city assigns Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation to be the investing and implementing agency following rules and regulations of government.
The project will include the following work items: Digitize documents, records, related to historical monuments, artifacts, intangible cultural heritage; establish a database system to manage Hoi An cultural heritage; invest information technology equipment; organize training courses,…
The vision of the digitization project is to establish a digital database system on Hoi An cultural heritage to serve the work of archiving, synthesizing, managing, researching, preserving and promoting the Hoi An cultural heritage values sustainably. At the same time, it may help to improve efficiency and ensure consistency in the overall Digital Government of the City. For the future, the project will be gradually supplemented to become the Digital Transformation Project associated with the project of Hoi An Smart city by 2025, with a vision to 2030 according to Resolution No. 02/NQ-HDND dated April 20, 2023 of the People's Council of Hoi An city.
