- Manage, conserve, restore, renovate and promote the cultural heritage values of Hoi An.
- Directly counsel Hoi An City People’s Committee about licensing and supervising the activities of relics restoration in the Ancient Town.
- Operate the scientific research, historical – cultural documents and artifacts (including tangible and intangible) collection, as well as archive on the patriotic and revolutionary tradition in Hoi An.
- Exhibit, propagandize, introduce and promote the values of Hoi An cultural heritage site.
- Collaborate with related parties in administrative management and promotion of Cham Island – Hoi An World Biosphere Reserve.
