From October 7 to 12, 2024, the delegation of Hoi An Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation, led by Mr. Pham Phu Ngoc - Director, had worked with the National Archives Center I, III, the French School of the Far East and the Institute of Han Nom Studies in the capital of Hanoi.

This business trip to Hanoi is targeted at exchanging expertise and learning new methods in the process of collecting, digitizing, preserving and promoting archival documents, and supplementing the scientific database about Hoi An history and culture
At the working sessions, the delagation had exchanged experiences, expertise, and plans for future cooperation with heritage agencies, focusing on the work of collecting and cataloging types of documents on history - culture, economy - society from French sources; Han Nom documents; films and photos linked to Hoi An.

Exchanging, learning experiences, and collecting documents at the above agencies not only facilitate the Center's staff to improve their professional qualifications but also further strengthen the cooperative relationship between Hoi An Center and central agencies. Besides, building an archival database on Hoi An history and culture is also determined as an essential task serving the management, preservation, and promotion of Hoi An cultural heritage for the future.
