Recently, the People’s Committee of Hoi An City has issued the Document No. 908/UBND dated April 14, 2022 regarding the agreement on restoring the original state of the house No. 134 in Nguyen Thai Hoc street. This house is an architectural relic of Class II in the protection Zone I of Hoi An Ancient Town. A fire incident caused serious damage to the house.

Funding takes from recurrent expenditure of basic construction in 2022. Construction Duration will be in the second and third quarters of 2022.
The agreement on urgent restoration of the People’s Committee of Hoi An City creates favorable conditions for the Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation to promptly repair the relic, contribute to ensure the living needs of the local people and the safety of neighboring houses as well as visitors, thereby preserving the value of the relic in particular and the landscape of Hoi An Ancient Town in general.
