After the construction period, on December 21, 2023, Hoi An Cultural Heritage Management and Conservation Center coordinated with localities and departments in Hoi An city to carry out procedures to complete the works. project, putting relics into use
Scene of the meeting of completing preservation work and putting into use the Relic of Văn Thánh Temple.
Preservation Work of Relic of Văn Thánh Temple was constructed by Hung Thai Company. The project includes the following items: Repainting temple walls, fences, and three-entrance gates; replacing the stone lining of the yard; restoring two flagpoles; restoring decorative patterns of worship; replacing some wooden components which are seriously damaged; re-roofing the yin-yang tile system; whitewashing monuments.
Preservation Work of Relic of Whale Temple (Lăng Ông) was constructed by Thanh Phu Company. The project includes the following items: Re-roofing the yin-yang tile system; restoring decorative patterns of the roof, section of ridge and gable; reinforcing the wooden frame; replacing some wooden components which are seriously damaged; repainting walls; plastering courtyard; restoring decorative patterns of worship; whitewashing monuments.
These preservation projects aim to meet the need for a place for regular cultural and religious activities of the local community.
