As part of a series of events celebrating the 10th anniversary of Trang An Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage (2014-2024), on April 27, 2024, People's Committee of Ninh Binh province organized the international scientific conference “Harnessing the role and value of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage – Trang An Landscape Complex in establishing the millennial city of heritage and connecting world heritage cities” at the International Conference Center of Bai Dinh Pagoda.
Many experts, scientists, and representatives of management boards of world heritage sites in Vietnam attended the conference.
The conference included the general session with the theme “Connecting the Trang An urban with UNESCO world heritage cities” and two thematic sessions, “A decade of the World Heritage site – Trang An, the journey of establishing, preserving and promoting the heritage values” and “The planning for preserving and promoting holistic value of the World Heritage site – Trang An towards the millennial city of heritage”.
Mr Quang Van Quy – Vice Director, representing Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation attended the conference and had the presentation with the theme “Some issues in the context of preservation and development at the World Heritage site - Hoi An ancient town towards an ecological - cultural - tourism city".
