Hội An Participates in the 48th Session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Busan, Republic of Korea

From 19 – 22 July 2026, a delegation from Đà Nẵng City participated in the 48th Session of the World Heritage Committee in Busan, Republic of Korea.

The delegation included Mr. Hà Vỹ, Deputy Director of the Đà Nẵng Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Phạm Phú Ngọc, Director of the Hội An Center for the Conservation of World Cultural Heritage; Mr. Nguyễn Công Khiết, Director of the Mỹ Sơn World Cultural Heritage Management Board; and Mr. Tống Quốc Hưng, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hội An Ward.
The session serves as an important UNESCO forum where States Parties to the 1972 World Heritage Convention exchange policies, solutions, and experiences in the conservation, management, and promotion of World Heritage values.
The event also provides Hội An with an opportunity to keep abreast of international trends, strengthen cooperation with organizations and heritage experts, and promote the image of the Hội An Ancient Town – a World Cultural Heritage Site and a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network – thereby showcasing the distinctive cultural values of Hội An and Đà Nẵng City to the international community.
